    1943 Carboard Ordnance Transport Tube

Post by mk1rceme on Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:31 pm

Found this one at a garage sale this past summer...I had no idea what it was until I posted it on BOCN.

It appears to have been made by the Aluminium Company of Canada, Shawinigan AC/C. Became Alcan, now Rio Tinto Alcan. Somewhat odd in so much as they are Aluminium manufacturers and there were/are papers manufacturers also in Shawinigan, more suited to the manufacture of such items.

    Hello Dale:

I don't mean to change subjects, but pictured in the background is a MK II with number '90' on it. Can you tell me more about this helmet?
