    Hey guys,
Picked up this stuff on Saturday. I missed out on a lot of other deals also. There were probably 10 more MKII's that sold for $25 each, complete with liners and chinstraps. There were also 5 mint unissued, complete WWII tankers helmets that also sold for $25 each...a dealer got those. If you see anything you like let me know.

You lucky dog!! Where was this stuff up for sale?

Those two BD's on the right with the para wings and RCASC patch? What's the scoop on those? For sale?

Now how come I cannot fall backwards into a sale like that! Very nice haul. Could have used a tanker helmet for $25! ha!

I like your AFS Toronto marked MKII...what are the details on that one?

    Cheers!

No Doubt! I would have been all over those. I can't seem to find any WWII...all post war.

These came from my secret source. I have been going there for a couple of years and depending on cash flow and assortment have come home a couple of times with loads like this. You guys would not believe what else was there and the prices they were selling for. Next time I think I will take out a loan.
In the group of uniforms only three are WWII, two SD's, one RCCS and one RCOC. The other WWII uniform is the worsted SD, named to Sewell. There were other badged up uniforms of his to the 14th RECCE...hence my inquiry in the other thread.
The AFS helmet is a GSW 1941 shell, the liner is VMC 1941 and it is hand painted.
Dale the two BD's you asked about are both post war, Korea era(have to check the dates). One is PPCLI, the other is RCEME...I think both have trousers also...but have to check to make sure. Yes, almost anything in the pic is for sale..except the Navy visor.
The box of webbing is all RAF/RCAF, with some mint unissued ZL&TL WWII dated ones. There are also a couple of AM marked canteen carriers. The rest is either undated or post war, belts, ammo pouches, canteen carriers, pistol ammo pouches are all in there. I missed out on three other boxes of Misc. RAF webbing.
There were four post war Canadian badged up greatcoats and 20 odd RCAF post war uniforms that didnt sell and they were going to take them to the Salvation army, also two post war badged up great coats went unsold also.
A guy bought 35 mint unissued CWAC caps dated 1951 for $10. The list goes on and on, huge boxes of webbing and caps were there, two parachutes...there were two panzerfausts there that sold for $90 for the pair.LOL!

Jeff, sort out that RCAF webbing, let me know what you have available war time dated. I am after that stuff. My current belt, and holster are in what I consider poor condition.

I was tempted to fly through the UK this trip home and stop over at saber sales

Oh my God man... that's un-f censored n believable. Two panzerfausts for $90!!!! Man, I'd have bought everything in sight for those kind of prices. Geez, makes my weekend find extremely pale by comparison. You're living the dream buddy, congrats.

I sent Andrew a picture of the panzerfausts, one was rusty but restorable and the other one had been repainted. But $90 for two authentic panzerfausts is still a great price. They were sans rockets.
Steve, believe me I would have loved to bought more but I had a budget to stick to.LOL!

I really regret having to sit in a classroom all frigging weekend doing my air brake endorsement. Looking at this haul, makes it more regrettable. This weekend for me was nothing but a Government money grab. I hold a truck and coach mechanics license which means I am qualified to build and repair air brake systems, however NOT qualified to drive them?? Thats just stupid.

Are there pips missing on the Patricia BD? The rank inked in the pocket doesn't match what I'm seeing in the photos. I love the Patricia stuff...

    Hi Steve,
Yes there are holes for an extra pip. The insignia looks like it was added recently on that one...like someone rebadged it to fit the name inside. I will post some closer shots of the insignia later today.

Yes, I can see upon close inspection of the photos that there is no obvious stitching... at least not what I would normally expect to see and the insignia look to be loosely applied. My interest in this uniform is waning...
