    Denison Smock Empty Denison Smock

It was free, just too bad it is so well used and abused.   Nice legible label, 1945 dated and Post-WWII Wings.

Nice couple of para pieces you've added recently, can't beat the price, someone good on the sewing machine might be able to tidy it up a bit, dont know if there is any chance you can tackle the grease, who's the maker of this smock please

    thanks

Denison Smock Empty Denison Smock Manufacturer

    Denhams (Norwich) Ltd.

I have had the kneepads since the early 1990s and this beat-up Denison for nearly a decade, so they really are not recent additions. More like recent 'finds' while digging through my stuff.

I can only imagine what collections you guys have  2 thumbs up  a guy local to me says he has over 100 post war bd's he's picked up over the years, amongst loads of other stuff, going to visit in the new year.

Again not an area I am overly familiar with (Canadian Para) but wearing wings on a smock would not be wartime practice? have seen photos with wings on the BD

    Denison Smock Empty Denison Smocks

Denison Smocks were worn post-WWII by the Canadian Army's Mobile Strike Force (MSF). Since there was very little camouflage clothing available, they were also worn by those Para trained personnel who could acquire one for field use. The wings on this beater are post-WWII manufacture.
