I know the UC-64 served operationally with the 1st Air Commando Group [164th, 165th and 166th Liaison Squadrons] and the 2nd Air Commando Group [127th, 155th and 156th Liaison Squadrons] in Burma, and the 3rd Air Commando Group in the Philippines.

Did the UC-64 fly combat operations with the RCAF? If yes, with which unit/units?

Yes, they were used by the RCAF in WWII and well into the 1950s, I believe they were retired in the early 1960s. Here is an image of one in 1952.

    Hi Adam

    Nice concise history here:

    http://www.norsemanhistory.ca/Overview.htm

No indication of a Combat use by the RCAF but rather as "...navigational and radio trainers..."

I guess if Glen Miller was shot down then an inadvertant combat role!!

    regards
