NNSH helmet markings

Hey guys. This is a great photo of two North Nova Scotia Highlanders. If you look at the helmet,under the netting it looks like some sort of marking on each of the helmet. Anyone know what these markings may be? I personally don't think it is reflection...

Doesn't look like a reflection to me either. Kind of looks like a 3rd division flash.

Indeed, could be a 3rd division flash. For sure not an NNSH flash, see my NNSH helmet below.

Love to get my hands on or even see a good example of a NNSH helmet with the 3rd Div. flash. I've got them with the thistle already.

i think about the 3rd DI flash too.

One have the insignia on the left of helmet, the other have the insignia on the right of the helmet.

So i think, there is an insignia on each side of the helmet... no ?

How do you konw there were from NNSH regiment ?

By expanding the photograph, you can read the shoulder title on the soldier to the left of the photo. I wondered the same thing too.

A North Novie fan can spot their flashes from mile away...

But yup,expanding pics as long as they are good quality can give you lots of insight to uniform.
