Post by Noble33 on Tue Jan 15, 2013 1:49 pm

All Ive found is one matching image on flickr, with the caption "RCAF first squadron"

Is that what this badge is? The first fighter squadron that fought in the battle of britain?

WOW, it wasnt until I looked at my own post, and the photo did I finally see the number 1 on the sides.... I must be blind...

That what I was thinking after another look, I havent spent enough time looking at the different crowns, I think I have it figured out now.

Thats a shame, still cool though

1 Fighter Wing RCAF. Lots of references to it on the net. Served in NATO.

Very neat, I believe I have another badge that goes alongside it

Unfortunately I only have non ww2 badges and fake medals apparently! My fault for not knowing more! Im used to ebay where auctions have to sell legit stuff, they cant simply advertise it as such....

Hmm. "Legit" is certainly open to definition on ebay.

The badge in your image is an RCAF officer's cap badge, 1953 circa 1970's.
