    I picked this item up at a WW2 collectors meet up. Any Idea of what it is and whats it for? (Need more info)

    measurement from left to right ( 19 in)

    measurement from top to bottom (16 in)


    measurement of width of large strap (4 1/2 in)

    measurement in between 2 brass grommets on large strap (3 in)



    measurement of width of small strap (3 in)

    measurement in between 2 brass grommets on small strap (1 3/4 in)

    Looks to me as if it could be a webbing brace for the inside of a pack frame?? What are the dimensions, and are the brass grommets eyelets?

    I don't have any references with me so hopefully someone can give a better educated guess than I.
