I was in the area of Trenton today, so I decided I would make the little side trip to visit this new Memorial. I am very glad I did. It is very interesting as you can see in the photos. I knew nothing about the design of this memorial prior to my arrival. All I knew was the Memorial was there somewhere in Trenton near the base.

I was quite surprised when I turned around after passing the 'split' maple leaf, and saw the names inscribed upon the face of the leaf. As this memorial is black and very glossy, it was very difficult, even in overcast conditions to photograph.

I hope I have done some justice to this Memorial. It sure is a beautiful creation.
