I just Bought this 11 1/2 lb practice bomb from a friend.

looking for info about this bomb(like what plane they used it on and etc..)

Any Idea on how to restore it? what color's and what markings?

My friend stupidly painted it and let bang round his garage for a few years. banghead

    And yes its deactivated.

P.S. Markings stamped on bomb: (Top line) 11 1/2 LB
             (Bottom line(it either says))  EP44 or FP44

I do believe these are normally white. Mine has two green bands painted around it.

I got one of these not so long back, someone had painted mine silver, I took some fine steel wool and oil to it and it ended up being black, underneath the black it had an undercoat of what I would call "cockpit green' mine is slightly different near the fins and is dated 41

I have one of these.... actually half of one of these. Mine is missing the tail cone and fins. Its either a very dark blue or black will have to view it in daylight. Where the paint is chipped its white underneath. Looking in the back end appears to be empty, I do hope this thing isn't live in some way. The large cotter pin is present and the safety pin on the other side looks to be a slotted screw? Stamped RCAF Ref 12/9 SSE-44. Cheers Brian
