WW2 Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada Uniform Grouping

Post by ledfut on Fri May 03, 2013 11:30 pm

Thought I would share some pictures of my latest acquisition (just arrived today!), courtesy of Chris Purcell.

WW2 Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada uniform grouping belonging to A. Somerset D86186. Grouping consists of Battle Dress, Kilt, Great Coat, Tam O'Shanter as well as some paperwork.

    1. Battle Dress

    2. Kilt

    3. Great Coat

    4. Tam O 'Shanter

Here is a picture of the uniform once I got everything set up on a mannequin for display:

An excellent addition to my collection! Next step is to hire Arnie Kay to get a copy of Mr. Somerset's service file from L.A.C.

Ritchie Farber and Co. Limited.... that's a maker I haven't encountered before. Nice grouping.
