P37 canadian canteen

Hello,

I want to share with you my recent find from Kijiji : a nice ww2 canadian P37 canteen typical pre-1942 fabrication. There is a named tag from the previous owner (war or after?). Used condition and dust as I enjoy!

Name Tag

The name tag is post-WWII. These were used into the early 1980s and I think originated in the 1960s. Wartime markings on equipment usually consists of the service number.

Thanks, that what I was thinking. I've found in France many german, us, french canteen or havresack reused after war by scouts or people for outdoor activities.

Très belle piece, tu as trouvé sur Kijiji ? Câline il faut que je regarde la de temps en temps.
Surement utilisé après guerre a voir le nom du soldat cousus sur la sangle.
