    WW2 Original photo's I found in a bag

Post by BlackWatch1 on Tue Feb 02, 2016 9:38 pm

Hello all. Just wanted to share some photos that were in a bag of old WW2 period photos from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was working in a recycling plant and a group of about 150 photos were in with rubbish! I believe the woman on the left in the first photo is in the others and I have a lot more photos with her in it that I need to "Jazz Up" using Photoshop as they are in poor condition.

Here is a photo of three women enjoying stolen Oland's Export Ale in downtown Halifax during the Halifax Riots in 1945(This is just an educated guess as you would never see women drinking with two cases of beer in WW2 Halifax. In fact Halifax didn't even have any bars during the war as far as I know).

And here are a couple more from the same group:

The adult on the right is a woman(wife/girlfriend?)dressed in the sailors uniform
