    Brian,

Wow, that is quite the haul. Very nice items indeed and that helmet looks to be in excellent original condition. Hard to find those with intact liner systems and chinstrap.

BTW, if that 4 Wing pennant ever gets in the way just let me know.

    Cheers,
    Darryl

    Hi Darryl
Wondered if you would notice the pennant. That's the first ww1 helmet in my collection, does not look to be tampered with which is good. No markings that I could see so I guess it could be Canadian or British. Only info I could find is its 1917 or later. Cheers Brian

I like bugles, figured you may as well see all of them. The one with the green cord is stamped Henry Potter & co. 36 West St. Charing Road London 1916. The smallest is stamped Wurlitzer Chicago Depot Spec 1152   8-28-17. None of the others have any marks. The one with the US badge is very light compared to all the rest making me think its a lot newer. I have seen a few with the Ontario Regt. badge making me think someone is adding these to make them look better? Bugle itself is still the heavier type. The last pic shows the ww2 Japanese bugle I just acquired. The rest are unknowns.  Cheers Brian
    P.S. My photography sucks.

Hi Brian, The Ontario Regt pattern shows up regularly on ebay. Story goes that they were being made up in Italy. They are not regimental.

nice collection Brian, thanks for the extra info 2 thumbs up , one tip for your pics I find is to take them outside, though this time of year is not the warmest!! I have one ww2 german made bugle that's grey painted steel, markneukirschen maker, 43 dated, its in the key of C (or the mouthpiece is?)

sorry one more question, the shell case, is that for a bofor's and is that stencilling?

Don't have a German bugle yet. The shell casing is 40mm Headstamp 1942 with British broad arrow among other markings. I was going to polish it up but saw the stenciling when I got home and figured I would lose that by polishing. The stamping is an arc over a T. Then B 28F then a square box with an L inside, Then Can. Is this Canadian? You would think it would be the Arrow inside the C if it was. Brian

a fellow round collector I know sought out the one's with a stencil on, as apparently you do not find that too often, leave it with me I will see if I can find out for you what it means, I believe the arc means arctic, so would be ok to use in cold weather, in this case with the stencil I would agree and not polish it
