    WS 58 wireless mk1 Empty WS 58 wireless mk1

Post by wernerbrooks Wed Sep 28, 2016 11:35 am

I was wondering if anyone has a working WS 58 radio.
I have searched the internet and every radio has someone fixing them and giving a demonstration of some kind.
    Why not for the WS58?.
I have 3 untested units but know noting about tube radios.
Anyone out there in Ontario who has the knowhow?

I have a 58 Mk.1 and a 58 Mk.1* Tropical. I have fired up the Mk.1 but haven't tried the tropical one as of yet. Do you have the supply unit and mics etc? I might have a spare manual around here someplace if you were interested. I'm in Ontario and have u-tube videos of working 29 and 52 sets. Maybe I should get busy on the 58!!

I have two sets just like yours with headset and mike but no powersupply.I have not tested any but 2 of them are said to"work".
They all appear to have always been dry and show no signs of having  been tampered with.
I just bought a modern powersupply specifically wired for the WS58.This should arrive from the UK someday.
I noticed there are manuals on CD for the WS 58.I will purchase one of these later this week.
Should you ever come across the manual or other bits ,please let me know.
I really would like to get a set working just for the thrill of it.
