From a lady at work Empty From a lady at work

A co-worker was cleaning out her late fathers house and came across these items she found. Her dad was in the Militia pre-war, joined the RCAF for the war and went on to be an Army Engineer post war (he was a a professional engineer in civilian life). From his early days came this book. It is a numbered volume dated November 1918 produced for the senior officer training camp at Aldershot in the UK. It covers everything from trench systems, attacks, scouts, snipers, musketry, training methods ("always keep them moving") to how to behave before the men and in the mess. It also has a list of the officers on staff as trainers and what unit they belonged to. Next is his RCAF cap, British made and finally his Canadian made RCE cap with a bi-metal Queen's Crown badge.

Great items, I wish people at my work showed up with WWII gear.
