Bought a lot of badges and these came with them. Are they West or East German? The stripes look American to me. Cheers Brian

Re: West German?
Brian, everything except for the rank chevron looks West German to me. At work with no access to my reference material. Can check tonight when I get home. The rank chevron is American.

More Detail
Hi Brian,
For private knowledge and general information. Here goes. From top to bottom, left to right:
1) Army marksman lanyards in gold and silver (missing third level Bronze)
2) Unknown badge (as it's voided, it might be a cap badge)
3) another unknown badge (by the design, might be a state or city fire service)
4) Air Force trade qual of some type
5) standard national flag
6) Military District South Command
7) 2nd German Corps HQ and troops
8) Navy para qual class III (bronze) for winter dress
9) Army Aviation collar badge
10) US Army Specialist rank
11) Military District 6 Command
12) Army Aviation cloth collar tab
13) Army Quartermasters cloth collar tab
14) 10th Armoured Division
15) Colonel rank epaulette, and
16) Army Aviation cuff title ("Geschwader"=Squadron Molders).
All West German except for #10. #'s 2 and 3 are probably W. German. Hope this helps.
