    British No 75 Mark II anti-tank hand grenade (and anti-personnel mine), Second World War period, manufactured by the 'Self Opening Tin Box Co Ltd, Westerham, Kent, in May 1944.

    Grenade, pin talcum powder style tin plate can with screw cap top; two metal igniter pockets soldered obliquely on to back of can, with pin across holes in tops; striker plate soldered on to brackets on back of can to hold plate above igniter pockets; plate has indented groove down it, into which is inserted a piece of string which is tied to safety pin at other end; painted brown with white cap and white stripes across width of top and bottom. H 2.7in x W 3.7in x L 7in.
