    Chaplain Canon Scott's Medal Group

Post by Battalion Colours on Sun Aug 22, 2010 1:23 am

On 16 July 2010 Chaplain Canon Scott's medal group was auctioned off for $28,000. The Canadian War Museum was successful in winning this group for their collection and hopefully it will be put on display for everyone to see.

Great to here this group to arguably the most famous Padre of the First World War, is staying here in Canada. Thanks for sharing this news, I really don't get much news like this from back home.

I am actually quite surprised it only saw $28,000.00

    Cliff:

There were only two serious bidders for Chaplain Scott's medal group and he was definitely the most famous Padre of WW I.

His miniature set of medals and insignia have been in a private collection for several years.
