Gentlemen,
Today was the very last parade of Apeldoorn, in which Canadian veterans rode along in old army vehicles for the very last time, being accompanied by a great number of military orchestras from around the world. There were about 50 Canadian veterans in the parade, but the turnout was huge. Lots of Dutch people lining the street everywhere along the route. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.
Because it was so busy and people kept going onto the streets I had to improvise for a bit with my camera. Therefore not all pictures are entirely in focus so bear with me please.
These guys were from St. Andrews College
And these fellows came all the way from Trinidad & Tobago!
A Dutch Military Police Orchestra.
Some more veterans...
Anyway, this is just a selection from what I've got. There was also lots of press coverage and everyone had a great time. For a lot of the veterans it was very emotional as well.
