What was the use of this badge.I think it is made of silver.
Is it a sweetheart badge,or worn by higher ranks,or something else...?
And I'm also interested in what it's worth.

With the clasp on the back, and being made of silver, I would guess that it is a sweetheart pin. The canvass should titles were worn during the Second World War.

This may be an officer's badge. The fitting is often seen for wear on pagrees. The hallmarks can be used to determine the maker and the date the badge was marked.
