Hello group .... I am wondering if someone can help me out. I am trying to figure out what badge would have been worn by mortar men. My late uncle, who was KIA, was with HQ platoon and was in their 2 inch mortar crew. So is there such a light mortarman badge ?

This is the badge for a Light Mortarman. I am not sure whether both 2 and 3 inch mortars would qualify. Perhaps someone with more knowledge on the specifics of the badge can shed some light. Photo taken from Jean Bouchery's 'The Canadian Soldier in NW Europe'.
