Greetings Guys!
Long time general history guy. Ex forces a long, long, long, time ago. :-) I thought I would join as always interested in Canadian military history. come across things from time to time. My major hobby now is 1/16 R/C tanks with IR battle systems. Lime creating Canadian vehicles when I can. I also produce and sell lots of 1/16 scale items including Firefly kits.
But enough of that! I recently came across some Canadian helmet shells and thought I might try my hand at restoring a few that aren't in bad shape. I have a source for liners and chin straps that is no issue and I know how to treat the shells to stop the rust and restore to a paintable surface. The issue is the paint! Is there any source for the correct colour early Canadian olive drab?
Thanks in advance and looking forward to dropping in here often...
