A souvenir of Holland Empty A souvenir of Holland

Gentlemen, let's get this forum moving. Here are two of the more uncommon items from my collection.

The first one is a small souvenir wooden shoe, brought from Holland to Canada by a member of the Winnipeg Rifles, Stanley Bewza. He was with HQ Company. It's really too bad that the H in Holland is damaged, but I think this is a neat little item nonetheless.

I also have a few banknotes he got from France, Holland and Germany, one of his black sergeant stripes and a picture of the man himself in Holland. I also have a large picture of the entire HQ company of the RWR taken in England in June 1943. I currently have it framed but still need to mount it on my wall.

    Here's the entire group:

Very nice souvenir, I have seen some similar to yours in the past.

I have a unique souvenir of Holland too. Looks like a wooden plate of sorts. I believe it says 'liberation'. It hangs above the door of my collection room.

Hi Dale, Liberation is indeed what it says. Funny how the fellow who made it painted the Soviet hammer and sickle upside down!
