    I was recently given this interesting button.  To my untrained eyes it look like a kings crown button thats been modified into a pin.  Any thoughts on this button.  Is it Canadian?  What time period?  Any input would be apreciated.

    The button is not for the 97th Algonquin Rifles. It has a laurel wreath, not maple leaves, and it is bright brass, not blackened.

    Theres a makers mark on the back it's difficult to make out because of the pin attached. It reads London Firmin.
