Discharge certificate ? Empty Discharge certificate ?

    Post by clem01 Fri Mar 24, 2017 10:12 am

    Hello,

I have a question concerning ww2 canadian discharge certificate. I have seen a grouping from a ww2 r22er veteran on ebay, enrolled in 1939, and I was very surprised that in his discharge certificate it was written that he served in Canada and only in UK (no european mention).

Did he only stay in UK? training or HQ units? there was a Napoli ring in the lot, i was suprised that he never been in Italy?

Since, I have seen few certificate of discharge from ''active units'' with only the UK mention. Can you explain that?

    Thank you,

    Clément
