MKIII of the 3rd DI - need help to identify

Hi Guys,

could you help me to identify this insignia ?

there is a rectangular grey/blue of the 3rd CAN DI, but what mean the 3 inside ?
This one as been found in south of Caen (France).

I know 2 other MKII with same insignia found in Normandy.

this helmet has been dammage in the farm were he was waiting for me :-))

No name or serial inside

mk1rceme, your helmet is attributed to a Regina Rifle soldier, isn't it ?

No idea for the signification of the "3" inside ?

I think the grey square background and number 3 stands for 3rd Canadian Infantry Division.

Interesting shape ,runover by a vehicle?

recently i found this picture on google ;



there is a Red stripe below, but it is the same insignia.

Does any one have an Idea ?
LSR, i thought about vehicule marking, but wich regiment had the number 3 in blue background...
