    From what ive read they were issued to the forces in limited quantities to fill the void..ive seen pictures of 'Home Guard' armed with these on patrol duty..to me it seems awkward and heavy compared to my Bren,and the 20 round mag would have been a pain too id imagine..this one has the selector switch for 3 functions:safe,slow rpm auto and faster rpm auto..no single shot feature.
