Ok like I don't have enough items on my list. LOL

Anyone have a line or idea where I would get the Kevlar for a current issue carrier? size is Large tall. I have a front ballistic plate and the carrier cover. Needed are the Kevlar liners and the rear strike plate. I am thinking even a gen III vest will work as the liners are the same. Price for me is the biggest issue. For display, I could use 1/4 foam but would like to have the correct liners.

Good luck, controlled item, but will keep my eyes open for one in CADPAT.

I know the CADPAT covers are controlled items, but are the plain green ones (same design as the CADPAT) still controlled? That is what I am after, or more specifically, the kevlar linings.

The cover is the same configuration as the CADPAT ones, however, they are a solid colour. Finally I found a poor photo, but should give the idea.

I know someone who has a set of kevlar inserts but I don't know what size, or if he will part with them but it never hurts to ask. I'll let you know when I get a chance to talk to him.

Those green vests were the one's issued to 3 PPCLI during our work-up training prior to the battalion deploying in 2002. Same vests as the current except in green and the armour in the shoulder pieces is not removable.

These vests were issued for Op Apollo and are now second line, held at stores for training. I still have mine from Op Apollo, now I understand, FRAG VEST...........:)

WOW did I ever seem to have trouble explaining myself. Sometimes the words and descriptions I use are just not enough. Just goes to show, a picture IS worth a thousand words. LMAO. I just couldn't come up with the term FRAG VEST.

As civilians we are still issued these vests in KAF. As you said Steve, the armour in the shoulder pieces does not come out. For me this issue is already solved.

So I wonder if these vests have hit the surplus market yet? I have done countless google searches and keep finding things like security guard vests and the like, but nothing of this type.

I've never seen any the vests on the surplus market. I was lucky enough to be given a complete green vest with plates by a someone who saved it from being thrown in the garbage, along with two nice FN C1 bayonets! I realize that not everyone is a collector but why would someone not think that there would be interest in this type of stuff? Luckily the items were saved in this case but I'm certain that good items end up in the trash everyday.
