DPM Smock Question Empty DPM Smock Question

    Post by mk1rceme Sat Jan 22, 2011 8:52 pm

Does anyone have a photo of a fully badged DPM smock that can be posted here? I got one recently through a trade and would like to bling it out a bit.

    Thanks for any help.

I have these epaulettes, but I think these are for the dress uniform and not the smock.

That's correct. You need the same thing but in olive drab for your smock. You also need a name tag, SSF patch, jump wings with white maple leaf and you can have up to two foreign jump wings. In addition it would be possible to have a Ranger tab and/or Special Forces tab or a panthfinder patch. Depending on the era depicted you can add rank to the sleeves for an NCO or on the shoulder slip-ons. Oh, and of course a subdued Canadian flag. That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

This is what I have so far...I was just going to remove the logistics tabs and replace them with the airborne tabs. I take it that the best way to do that is split the seam stitching, replace the tabs, and resew the seams. duh Might be easier just to purchase the ones from Bill.

The hunt is still on for the Osons patches.

Which SSF patch? The merrowed edge coloured pattern? Not the DEU pattern.

Probably the merrowed edge variety. I see there is another kind, embroidered on black felt...is this the DEU pattern you mention?

I would like to go no further than Sergeant, but this is all I have right now.

And I have all kinds of combat NCO rank badges you can have. I'll try to remember to get some in the mail this week before I head south of the border.
