My name is Hugh Crawford. I live in Whitby, Ontario Canada and have spent my retirement collecting and selling war medals. I have decided to put my lists of medals on this website in hopes of reaching others who are interested in collecting the medals that I have.

Painstaking research has gone into each medal on my lists. With each medal purchased, you will receive the enlistment documentation for each soldier. I believe this adds to the historical value of the medal.

The list that I have is very large. For that reason, I will only list the name of each soldier as well as his rank, unit, the medals he received, and the price for each item. I have further information on the medals, but it is too big for this website. Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.

Now a note about the kind of medals I offer:

Most of my medals were awarded to Canadian soldiers, but I do have some British ones as well. I have medals from the following conflicts:

World War One
World War Two
Korea

No cause for concern with Hugh. A Gentleman and fine seller. I have landed a few nice medals and groups from him.

Pity he bopped his prices up a touch!!

I just saw this now. I agree with Darrell 100%. I have delt with Hugh through the years and have always had a goos experiance. Through him, I aquired my EM to Pte Andrew Bell of the Irish Regiment of Canada. I also obtained the Memorial Cross to John Bray, Irish Regiment of Canada.

I have found communication through his site, a little slow in that his daughter-in-law?? Is running the site for him. BUT please do not let that turn you off of him. He is a top notch guy in my books. I asked through his site if he could bring the EM with him to the Ottawa show, he did, now its iin my collection. :)

The site has been down for a while now. I meant to ask Hugh about this when I saw him in Peterborough, but as usual, I forgot.

I do know the site was run and maintained by a family member, other that Hugh or his wife. His daughter-in-law maybe. I will try again and remember to ask him if he is in attendance at the Ottawa show in two weeks.

Just thought I'd update this post. Hugh's site is up and running and having just made my first purchase from him I highly recomend Hugh.

I have bought many things from Hugh over the years, great selection of medals.

Of course as my luck would have it, I have a day to spend surfing and looking for medals of interest to me and Hugh's site is offline again. I figured ok what the heck, another site I love looking through is Maritime Medals, but I see it is expired. Frig My Luck. LOL

It is of little wonder why my collecting has stalled out. I am really starting to dislike his overnight shift.

I too like to cruise Hughs site but his new site doesn't seem to have anything listed on it just a blank page. Anyone know whats the scoop on Hughs new site?

Hugh's new site is up and running. There are a few problems with it as far as I am concerned. I hate that stupid little facebook, twitter thingy on the left margin. It is in the way. I am also not too terribly happy about not being able to read the first few letters on the left margin, and having to scroll to the right to read the full text.

However, I am very pleased to see his offerings back up online again.
