Member of the 85th Battalion C.E.F.

Good Evening Everyone.....

I know I can go through the LAC list of over 200 men with this last name but I was hopeing that someone would have a list of the members of the 85th Battalion from a regimental history.....

Sorry I only have a last name: GILLIS

I know he was from Cape Breton.....

A quick look at the Nominal Roll for the 85th Battalion shows 5 different soldiers with the last name of Gillis. Of these, three were from Cape Breton:

222758 Pte. Daniel Gillis (Victoria Bridge, Grand Mira, C.B., N.S.)
222559 Pte. John B. Gillis (Shunacadie, C.B., N.S.)
223006 Pte. John Peter Gillis (Dominion No. 4, C.B., N.S.)
