I have a helmet i beleive is around the 1980s on it is written CPLC Lessard 676 wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this or who this was or any information about this,thank you.

Cplc stands for "Caporal chef" which is French for Master Corporal (Mcpl). Lessard would be the soldier's name. 676 would ne the last three digits of his social insurance number (sin) which was also used as the soldiers serial number in those days.

Helmet
If the helmet is a M1, these were used well into the late 1990s; therefore the 'last three' could also be from the Service Number.

thanks for the information .Yes it is a m1 and i think i found who owned this helmet but i am not 100% sure there is a master corprol that was killed in action in cyprus.
