Hand Held Air Raid Siren

Just thought I would share this with you guys since I haven't seen another one here yet.

It's my Federal Electric Company air raid siren. It's my favorite item in my collection and boy can it scream.

These portable sirens are still used by the Canadian military in the field by fire picket personnel or to simulate rocket attack alarms or other similar alarms. Yes, they are loud.

I had no idea it was still being used today. It makes sense because it has a really good build quality and is quite heavy for it's size.

Nice!! Been wanting one of those for years but usually sell for more than I want to pay on e-bay. Cheers Brian

There's one for sale in Edmonton for about $250 IIRC... no idea if that's a fair price or not.

250$ sounds like a fair price to me, I have seen them go anywhere from 200-450$ depending on the condition and if it comes with the accessories.
