    SKOP Kits Empty SKOP Kits

    Post by mk1rceme Mon Mar 24, 2014 10:19 pm

I purchased 6 of these recently...looks like I can finally use my gopher costume for something Very Happy

I have used these before...many years ago on a two week gold hunting trip. Actually quite cozy and good practice for the eternal sleep. My dog hated it though.

I tried to order some of these a couple years ago through the CFSS: they were NDHQ controlled.

I saw that online last night, but the info was over 5 years old. I noticed that there is one on ebay too.

Missed these on nutz last night, nice score! I only was after one to throw in the collection if you were inclined to part with one.

    Cheers!

I didn't know SKOP kits were collectable, my Dad used to use them to cover his firewood.

I should be able to part with a few. Like I said, I'm going to use one or two in the future...perhaps use one on my firewood pile. Heck of a good idea.

I think these only became desirable since they seem to be controlled for some reason. Honestly, you could go to home hardware and put together a comparable kit.

I picked one of these up at the Ottawa Show on Saturday. Only reason I could come up with for getting it was "BECAUSE". mine os dated January 1974 on the instruction sheet. Doubt I will ever open it and use it. It will likely get lost someplace and in future years, I will find it again and ask myself, "WHY" do I have this darned thing?

Believe me, that is a question I ask myself almost daily. Pretty sure a lot of others on this site do as well.
