    Glengarries Empty Glengarries

Post by servicepub Fri Mar 28, 2014 4:32 pm

I am finishing a book on Field Service Caps and have added a chapter on Glengarries, however, I am missing some Glens to complete this section. Does anyone own one of the following, badged, Glengarries:
    Cape Breton Highlanders
    Essex Scottish
    Prince Edward Island Highlanders
    Pictou Highlanders
    Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders
    Scots Fusiliers Of Canada
    Perth Regiment

If so, and you are willing to either photograph them, or send them to me for photography, please contact me at clive@servicepub.com

    Thnx,
    Clive

These are few pics of a CB Highlander I interviewed last year. Here is Joe Burke with me during his interview wearing his glengarry. Hope it helps some....

Good evening Clive, the pics posted above for the Glengarry is accurate, with the correct dicing (although a current purchase from the CB Highrs Association), but please note that the cap badge could possibly (and I am fairly certain) be one from the CB Highrs association(hard to tell without seeing the back of the badge to see if it has lugs or a slider). Before deploying overseas the belted annulus (Royal Garter) was removed from the cap badge during WWII, but this is not to say that some of the oldtimers didn't retain their Belted Annulus Cap badge for wear overseas, but the one pictured is indeed a CB Highrs Association Badge.
