I spotted these patrol pouches on a dealer site and was wondering if they were used by the Canadians. The "C" broad arrow is not a style I have encountered before...

Webbing
The web pouches are original British manufacture but they appear to have fake 'C Broad Arrow' stamps added to them.

Thanks Ed! I'm inclined to agree with you on the 'C Broad Arrow' stamps...

Re: Are these Canadian?
Fake stamps indeed.
Pouches are a nice pair of original British ones.
To bad they messed it up with those stamps.

Re: Are these Canadian?
I have seen a few items in the last little while with suspect C /I\ stamps. Some on actual Canadian WWII gear and some on really random out of place things.

Re: Are these Canadian?
It appears someone got an early Christmas present , by way of a fake C/l\ stamp, and are having fun destroying otherwise good kit pieces.
What a shame.
What a shame.

Whatever it takes to make them sell, right?

Re: Are these Canadian?
At least those Broad Arrow C's are dead giveaways. The pattern being offered on ebay is much closer to the original style.

Not sure how those C /l\ are going to fool anyone at all. As Bill said, the current stamps being peddled in ebay are a little closer. Thankfully though, they are off as well.

Re: Are these Canadian?
Is this the stamp you guys are all referring to?
It's kind of scary to think that someone is out there producing such things, especially since the Canadian Army seemed to mark a lot of commercially made items during the war (unless I am mistaken).

That is similar to the one I see being sold on EBay all the time.

Re: Are these Canadian?
I have never seen an original Canadian Manufactured shirt with a British Broad Arrow stamp on it. I also don't like the fact the arrow is with the manufacturer's date. The makers mark and date should be together ... the Broad Arrow came later .... This type of shirt is a late war Canadian model used for decades after the war. Many of the wartime ones, of this pattern, have C arrows screened on them with a light green type paint ... It's also interesting to see that above the fake broad arrow you can just make out what appears to be a 195? date.

Re: Are these Canadian?
Fortually these are rather good to spot.
With a bit of knowlage you will know that these are fake.
The AM stamp could foul some one fast though.
