For all you "purists",yes its not 100% military yet until i find the rest of the parts but it now runs and drives and because i refuse to buy any chinese garbage aftermarket i managed to locate some bits off the remains of a Knucklehead from the same time period..the springer front end is factory applied nickel finish from the Knucklehead as are the front and rear fenders, both wheels and the front brake..i still need a linkert#88 carb as well as some small bits here and there..i tried to reproduce some patina for the paint to give it a slightly better look..1943 WLC Imag0010

no problem,il try to post pics of stuff i havent seen on the forum yet if i can help it,although technically i think this was posted in the wrong section..im still wanting to convert it back to 100% military so if anyone has or knows of any pieces at all im always interested..the proper military fenders arent as big, they are cut up further to avoid mud and debris from getting caught..also the wheels are 15" instead of 16",and obviously not chrome..i also need the proper carb, its a brass bodied unit called the 'linkert m88'..the saddlebags on the bike are civilian..i found a single military harley saddlebag recently, unfortunately there was only one..it was beef jerky dry so i coated it in dubbin and it seems to be getting more pliable..heres what they look like, front and back..1943 WLC Img_2079
