Good day Forum. Need a little help with an ID disc. I picked this up last night at an auction in a pile of pins, and grabbed it because it looked bigger than what my memory told me it should be. Once I got home I confirmed it was bigger than the norm. Can anyone tell me why. It looks to be an early service number. Any idea on which conflict it would have been for?

Re: Help with an ID disc
First question I have is are you sure it is Canadian or Commonwealth? I took a quick look while doing other things and found no one with the service number 2278 and named Dorey.

It does have a C of E designation (Church of England). I agree its not Canadian …. but probably British or another commonwealth country.
All the best,
