So I picked this up today. It is a 10 pouch Canadian Cartridge belt from WW1 I believe. However someone has removed two pouches to make the belt smaller. It is just under 40 inches in length now. Does anyone have any ideas on the stamps or markings or has heard about this being done for smaller waisted soldiers perhaps?

Nice find! It is actually a bandolier and would not have had the pockets removed to accommodate a smaller soldier. Most likely it was cut-down and shortened for either Cadet or personal use.
