    The Library and Archives Canada is a useful tool in researching Canadians who fought in the Boer War. A total of 7,368 Canadians and 12 Nursing Sisters served in South Africa during the Boer War. This research tool brings together three groups of records pertaining to the South African War: the service files, medal registers and land grant applications.
