British Security Coordination Badges Empty British Security Coordination Badges

Here are two badges for the BSC. I don't believe they were ever issued... It would be interesting to understand the intent of their potential issue?

Here is an interesting article on a member of the BSC.

The use of BSC Badges are somewhat obscure. We do not believe they were ever issued and may have been made by scully just post war, the files as to who had ordered them are either missing or were lost in a fire some years ago.

This year, for the first time in a few years we will have a one day event at the original site of Camp X
It will be held on Friday May 8th. We were going to have it a 2 day event, however as NDHQ were very slow in getting back to us, we can only do it for the one day.

We hope to make this an annual event.
I will be bringing out and displaying my SOE and OSS items as well as other Military bits, some relating to Camp X. I do not have time to get the Camp X items now on long term loan to a Federal Agency on Ottawa, so we will go with what we have.

Lynn Hodgson will be there as well as others that know more than most about SOE, BSC and Camp X

Thanks for that Dean. I hope you are planning on taking photos at the event and then sharing on the Forum. I certainly would be interested in seeing any you care to share.

Well, I or someone else will be taking photos, I think this first one in a long time will be a small event..and of course it is on a Friday.

I would be willing to email the photos to anyone that would be willing to post them.

It might be interesting for you to know, the largest bunch of stuff from BSC HQ in New York, was stashed in a basement in PEI.. long story..however our group was given a little bit of what was there, I was not involved, so I do not know where it was. I should look into that.
