    REL Binoculars Empty REL Binoculars

Post by ypres Mon Aug 03, 2015 7:24 am

I found these binos the other day. I picked them up because they were a little unusual to me. All the REL models I have seen seem to be Mk2/2 or Mk2/4. These are Mk2/9. I also usually see these in all black not this green colour. The lenses on these are clear and don't have the bluish colour of the later coated bino lenses. Any further info on these would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ypres

I believe these are the Mk2/2 or Mk2/4 as many binos were refurbished after the war, the area under the arrow mark had the original markings and were machine milled out, and the binos were repainted. I have seen these in use up he late 1990's.

Do the lens have any reticle markings.
