Sad fate for a couple of Canadian Mk II helmets with decals...

Spotted this thing at a local antique mall. I'm not sure what either of the decals are, but it's sad that both helmets are ruined. They were both marked "C.L./C. 1942," which I guess denotes the Canadian Lamp Company / Canadian Motor Lamp Company.

How much were they asking for that?

I think they wanted 149.99 USD for it!

The bottom lid sports a US 44th Infantry Division insignia.  I'm almost sure the top insignia is for a US Engineer Battalion.

Both lids were messed with before they ended up like this.

Good spot Jim, thanks for the identification! Glad to find out that they weren't original wartime decals!
