    greetings. looking for the ww1 cef unit pte W A Ford(William Arthur) served in. his regimental number
    is 1001139. gazette post is 3/13/18 for the MM with no unit given. best, braxton banghead

    He was with the 78th Btn. The MM was LG 13-3-1918 and there is a citation.

    The citation was published in the Canada Gazette, the London Gazette and both are on line. As well it can be found on Ancestry.

    Thanks for the information....I have his service files I just can't find out what he did to receive the metal. William was my Great Grandfather. His brother also served in the 101st.
