    Hi guys,

This was the Mills bomb I was telling you guys about last week. Came in on Friday, and as promised - here are the pics. :)

Any comments and/or advice is appreciated. I'm here to learn.

    TIA.

    Nice Canadian made Mills!
The casting is marked FW for Frost & Woods.
The Safety Lever is marked M for Montreal Munitions.

    Cheers!

Ah, a very nice example to be sure. Congratts. I have only one in my collection, many thanks to Jholl for that. I would like to find a few others but the finding a complete example in good condition, and above all, a good price seems to be difficult.

Very nice example for sure! Cliff your looking in the wrong places, I have nine now and paid on average $25 each....lol...except for the pre mass production WWI Mills bomb I have....I paid "well" for it!
They are certainly getting much harder to find.

A couple of months back my WWII Veteran Uncle gave me two of them. They happily joined the others I have in my collection.

Rub it in Jeff, LMAO I seem to find them at the $200.00 mark. Hence, me only having 1 lonely example in my collection.

    newly acquired Mills bomb Grenad11
These are my examples. The two cutaways are FW but the middle one is marked Chatco. Anyone know what this company is?

CHATCO is Chatham Company, from Chatham Ontario. They made the M36 MkI. They marked their levers CHATCO and the body of the bomb with a "C".

The above body mark has been mistaken for the Carron Company who marked their bodies "CC". The Carron Company was in Falkirk Scoland.

All I can attribute the above information to is a fellow by the name of D. Lynn.

Thanks for the info Cliff. There is indeed a C on the body. Cheers Brian
