    Battledress Empty Battledress

    Post by mk1rceme Sun Jul 15, 2012 3:14 pm

Just a quick question about BD...I found a WWII cut BD blouse today for $10 at a garage sale in Calgary. It looks Canadian-made in all respects but is stamped with Greek markings. Did the Greeks copy the Canadian BD pattern, or is it a Canadian made item?

    Pics in a bit...

    Thanks
    Dale

As I understand it, the Greek Pattern is very very similar to our Canadian Pattern, but marked in Greek.

Yes, the Greeks used a pattern of battle dress that is indentical to Second World War Canadian battle dress. I have one in my collection. I got mine on ebay for about $25.00 plus shipping.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the confirmation Sarge. I was not certain if the Pattern was identical or not. I knew the patern was very similar. My memory is starting to fail a bit I think. They say the memory is the second thing to go.....I forgot what the first this was, so I guess I am alright for now Rolling Eyes
