I've bought a MKIII helmet with a decal. I wonder if somebody can help me to indentify this decal? I've got no idea what it could be.

Hi Jordy,
My gut instinct is that this is not a Canadian helmet., The markings certainly are not in keeping with Second World War Canadian regs. Possibly postwar Brit.

You also have to keep in mind that these Mk IIIs were used post-WWII by many different nations military forces, any one of whom could have painted insignia on a helmet.

Thanks for the comments. I know that many MKIII helmet were used after the war by other nations like the Netherlands. It could also used by the Dutch Marines late 40s.
