Can anyone give me a bit of info on this pin. As the title states it was given to a vet in Eindhoven(I was told it was given upon liberation).

Re: Eindhoven Lion Pin
Eindhoven was liberated 18 sept 1944.
The 5th of may (1945) was and still is liberation day,we celebrate the end of ww2 and our freedom at that day overhere. On the 4th we remember the fallen.
I think it was made for that special occasion.
By the way it is the Dutch lion, and not an Eindhoven lion.
I think it was handed out on liberation day as a gift.
