Thanks Ed. Would you have a pic of what the file looks like so I can keep my eyes open?

Artic Snow Knife & Saw Empty File Shape for Snow Knife Kit

Post by Ian B Tue Jan 21, 2020 8:53 am

    Good day B.,

I suppose any file would do (except round). A lot of small gear like that was picked up by Local Purchase Order (LPO), small items purchased from local businesses. A 9"-10" file with handle should fit the bill.

However, I seem to recall that the file in a snow knife kit was triangular, so as to sharpen, if necessary, the teeth of the snow saw. One flat side of a triangular file would still be able to sharpen the snow knife.
