I acquired this example about 20 years ago when I was assembling my P08 kit and haven't examined it again until a few days ago.
Any thoughts on the "2SSR" marking?
The only thing I can think of is a reissue to the Canadian South Saskatchewan Regiment in the twenties, but perhaps there is a British unit that carries such an acronym?
It's also interesting that the font size of the "R" is much larger than the "SS".
The snap has a 1907 patent date.
Thanks fellas
Roy
